SMAG Mobile Antenna Masts AG Establishes Supervisory Board
// In the course of the conversion into a stock corporation, Ms. Esra Himmel, Mr. Dr. Nils Förster, and Mr. Sven Hartwich were appointed to the Supervisory Board of SMAG Mobile Antenna Masts AG.
The newly constituted Supervisory Board combines proven technical, commercial, and sector-specific expertise:Esra Himmel, who was appointed Chairwoman, brings experience in areas including corporate finance and human resources. Dr. Nils Förster, who assumes the role of Deputy Chairman, is distinguished in particular by his deep understanding of the defense sector. Sven Hartwich rounds out the Board’s expertise as a proven financial expert.
Esra Himmel
// Esra Himmel is the Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of the Company.
Esra Himmel also serves as Deputy Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of Eisen- und Hüttenwerke AG, a subsidiary of ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG. Prior to that, she served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer at goetzpartners Group and as member of the board of trustees of goetzpartners Stiftung. Before that, she held various leadership positions at goetzpartners Group.
She holds a Master of Science in Management with a focus on Corporate Finance and Investment from the University of Mannheim and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Goethe University Frankfurt am Main.
Dr. Nils Förster
// Dr. Nils Förster is Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Company.
He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of Quantum-Systems GmbH, a leading European provider of unmanned, AI-powered systems for defence, security and civilian applications, where he is responsible for global operations, industrialisation, supply chain management, quality, and organisational scaling.
Prior to joining Quantum-Systems, Dr. Förster was Partner and Managing Director at PwC Strategy& (Germany) GmbH (formerly Booz & Company). In this role, he led Strategy&’s European Public Sector & Defense Practice and was responsible for the strategic development and growth of the business as well as the delivery of complex consulting engagements for government, security and defence clients. He also served as a trusted advisor to senior executives, investors and public-sector stakeholders, including organisations of the German Armed Forces and other NATO military organisations.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Förster held consulting and leadership positions at BwConsulting GmbH, the in-house consultancy of the German Federal Ministry of Defence, as well as at ADRA Ecuador and Musterbrecher Management Consultants. He also served as a research associate to Prof. Dr. Hans Wüthrich.
Before entering the consulting profession, Dr. Förster served for ten years as an officer in the German Air Force and left active service with the rank of Captain.
Dr. Förster holds a doctoral degree in Business Administration (Dr. rer. pol.) and a degree in Business Administration (Diplom-Kaufmann), both from the University of the German Federal Armed Forces Munich.
Sven Hartwich

Sven Hartwich also serves as Chief Financial Officer of EMAG GmbH & Co. KG, as member of the supervisory board and chair of the examination board of C.+H. Winter GmbH (general partner of Fritz Winter Eisengießerei GmbH & Co. KG), and as member of the supervisory board of ZAHORANSKY AG. Prior to this, he served as Head of Investment Management at EMAG GmbH & Co. KG. He also worked as Commercial Manager / Chief Financial Officer for KmB Technologie GmbH and EMAG Leipzig Maschinenfabrik GmbH. Before joining EMAG, Sven joined Dräger Safety AG & Co. KGaA as Commercial Manager Engineered Solutions and held various commercial management positions at Siemens AG.
Sven Hartwich holds a diploma in business information technology from the University of Applied Science Harz, Wernigerode.
